When the software you need
does not exist yet.
Some operational work does not fit any product on the market. It fits a tool built around how your organisation actually runs, connected to the software you already own.
Build the tool.
Connect the stack.
Hand it over properly.
When custom is the right answer
Usually it is not. Sometimes it is the only one.
Custom software is expensive to build and expensive to own. If an existing product covers eighty percent of the need, configuration and one integration is almost always the better decision.
It becomes the right decision when the work is genuinely specific: a process that carries your competitive advantage, a workflow no product models, or a set of requirements that competing products each solve a third of.
What we build
Five shapes of internal system.
Internal management portals
One place where staff do the work that currently spans three spreadsheets, a shared inbox and a group chat. Roles, permissions and an audit trail included.
Request and case management
For any organisation whose work arrives as requests: intake, assignment, status, history, escalation and closure, with a record of what happened and who decided it.
Operational databases
The structure the work actually needs, replacing the spreadsheet that has quietly become a database without constraints, permissions or a backup strategy.
Departmental tools and dashboards
Purpose-built views for the people doing the work, and management views built on what the process actually captures.
Integration with existing software
Connecting what you already pay for, where its interfaces permit it. We establish what is possible before promising it.
Delivery
What protects you in a build.
Scope before code
A written scope defines what is built, what is excluded and how acceptance is tested. Changes are agreed, not absorbed silently.
Handover is part of delivery
Documentation, access and a walkthrough for the people who will run it. A system nobody can maintain is a liability with a login.
Ownership per agreement
Intellectual property, source access and hosting arrangements are set out in the project agreement, not left ambiguous.
Support defined in advance
What is covered after launch, for how long, and at what cost. Not discovered during an incident.
A boundary
What we will not do.
We will not build a custom system to solve a problem that a process change would solve. We will not quote a build before the workflow is understood. And we will not hand over a system without documentation and a named route for support, because an undocumented internal tool becomes the reason the next person cannot leave.
Custom Business Systems
Describe the work
that has no software.
Show us the spreadsheet, the inbox or the whiteboard it currently lives on. We will tell you whether it needs building, configuring or leaving alone.
