Privacy, in plain language.

The short version

We use the information you give us to respond to your enquiry and to support agreed work. We do not sell it, we do not add you to a marketing list, and this site runs no advertising trackers.

What this website collects

The site is static and sets no cookies of its own. It loads fonts from Google Fonts and Fontshare, whose servers receive a request from your browser when those files load. We do not run analytics or advertising scripts on this site.

If you use the contact form

The form sends what you enter to a private intake service we operate on Cloudflare. It records:

• your name, business email, organisation and, if you choose to give it, your role;
• the area of interest you select and the description of the challenge you write;
• your preferred contact method, the time of submission, and a reference number.

It is stored in a database hosted by Cloudflare, in Cloudflare's European region, and a notification is emailed to the lab so that a person can respond. Replying to that email replies to you. We do not ask for, and the form does not accept, file uploads, passwords, card details or confidential records. Please do not paste them in.

The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the confirmation box before submitting. You can withdraw it at any time by asking us to delete the enquiry.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond and to keep a record of business correspondence. We do not run an automatic purge of this database yet, and this page will say so when we do. If you want your enquiry deleted, write to us and we will remove it.

Who processes it

Cloudflare provides the hosting, the intake service and the database, and processes the information on our instructions as an infrastructure provider. Our email is handled by our mail provider. We do not pass enquiries to advertisers, data brokers or list sellers, because we do not use them.

Demonstrations

The Business Systems Observatory and the Lead Recovery workflow on this site are local simulations. They run in your browser, use a fictional business and fictional people, and send nothing to us. No messaging, calendar or CRM system is connected to them, and no message is sent and no booking is created.

Client engagements

Systems we build for clients may process their customers' information. In those engagements the client owns the data and decides what may be done with it. We act as a processor on the client's instructions, with access limits and human oversight built into the design. Roles, retention and security requirements are agreed in writing before any client data is handled.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to hello@joemarylabs.com and we will act within a reasonable period. We may ask you to confirm you are the person the information relates to.
