Solutions
Four ways the work
shows up.
A solution is a specific, scoped system. These are examples of what the capability looks like when it is built, not a catalogue of finished products.
One problem.
One system.
Scoped per organisation.
The catalogue, such as it is
Each of these started as a recurring problem.
They are named because the same failure keeps appearing in different organisations, not because they are sold off a shelf. Every implementation is scoped around the tools, permissions and people that already exist.
Three of these sit in Operational Systems. That is not an accident. Most operational problems surface there first, because that is where the work and the customer meet.
If none of these fit
Most engagements do not start with a solution.
They start with a problem that has not been diagnosed yet. The four systems above exist because they recur. Yours may not, and that is the normal case.
Describe what is going wrong and we will tell you whether it belongs to one of these, needs something built around your process, or is better solved by a process change and no software at all.
